Ask for directions to LAX Ask for personal experiences trying to read a map

Presentation

• Show map on overhead
• elicit numbers identifying freeways which travel north/south vs east/west.
• Explain and trace route on map from Central City to San Pedro and to Hawaiian Gardens

Note: Change transparency to conversation model Model giving directions using overhead (students repeat)
