NAME_OF_REMEDY: Asthma
INGREDIENTS: Mullien
Sage
INSTRUCTIONS: My husband has had horrible asthma attacks all his life, it
was only after speaking to an American Indian lady, I believe she said she
was Cree, that he finally got some relief. She reccomended that he visit a
health food store and purchase mullien and sage, we use a tea infuser and
he basically drinks it once a day. He started doing this about ten years ago
and from the very first day he started, he has used his inhaler (honestly)
only once, and that was only after neglecting the tea for about three or four
months. He swears by it!

Ingredients: 1 Chihuahua
Instructions: My family raises Chihuahuas. We have heard that having Chihuahuas
around reduces the number and intensity of asthma attacks. Several people
have bought Chihuahuas from us and later called saying that they hadn't had
any attacks since they got the dog or that the attacks they did have were
not as severe. I have heard that it is something in their dander. Most people
have the Chihuahuas sleep with them at night.

Ingredients: One VERY STEAMY bathroom
Instructions: I have had asthma since I was born. When I was a baby I would
have to have one end of my crib matress propped up because my airway was so
constricted. My mother used to go into the bathroom and turn only the hot
water on in the shower. Within minutes the bathroom was filled with steam.
She would hold me where my head was stuck in the edge of the shower curtain/door
and the steam would help my breathing. I am now 22 years old and still have
asthma. I have learned how to control my breathing when I have an asthma attack
and I have not recently had a severe attack. The steamy bathroom is an excellent
remedy when you don't have a humidifier!!! It works wonders!!!

Name of Remedy: Asthma
Ingredients: Fresh Air and Hot Coffee.
Instructions: I have had severe asthma my whole life and I found that when
my asthma acts up and I dont have an inhaler handy, coffee does the trick.
It should be hot and as strong as you can take it. The caffeine will oven
your lungs and airways. Don't put milk or cream in it however because these
will cause phelem in your throat and make breathing harder. Another helpful
thing if coffee is not available is to go somewhere where the air is cold
and just sit and take deep breaths. Relaxing and helpful. Hope this helps.

Ingredients: glass of milk
Instructions: The first time I ever had an asthma attack, I was 6. I completely
stopped breathing. I didn't know what was wrong. My brother handed me a glass
of milk and I was able to breathe. I found out when i was 16 that I had asthma.
Now if I find it extremely hard to breatheI drink milk. I still wheeze a little
but I can breathe; which in turn keeps me from panicking.

Country of Remedy: United States
Ingredients: Lipton Tea Bag
Water
Microwavable Mug
Instructions: I have really bad asthma
and everytime I catch a cold it's inevitable that my asthma will flare up!
I found that if your lungs feel heavy and filled with flem drinking a cup
of hot and REALLY dark tea will help. It's really bitter but the caffeine
from the tea will cause your lungs to spasm and you'll find it easier to breath.
Also
aside from drinking tea...I have to other cures that will help your attack.
Practice your breathing techniques by inhaling through your nose making sure
your stomach expands outwards and when exhaling your stomach goes inwards.
Do it slowly and concentrate on the techniques...you'll find it harder to
inhale grasping little air but keep concentrating on doing it properly. You'll
find this very soothing and calming and it's also good for stress to!! Last
if you have a friend or someone around...have them pat (hit) the middle of
your back near your lungs with their palm. Make sure it's hard and they hit
it every second until you're able to breath better. If it's a child have them
lay over your legs while sitting making sure just the upper part of their
body is on your lap and pat the middle of their back in a firm hard manner
by cupping your hand. These patting/hitting techniques will not only let you
breath better but also cause you to cough and loosen your congested lungs
(flem).

Ingredients: Cup of Hot Water (as hot as one can handle without burning
mouth)
Instructions: I have had Asthma since I was in grade school and whenever I
would start to feel weezy or that I couldn't breathe without gasping for air,
my mother would fill a cup with hot water for me to drink. Within minutes
my lungs would open up and I could alot easier. Also try the shower one which
is right below this one, it works also
I was born with asthma and havepretty
much tried everything to get over it. I have found the way to control
the attacks in the most simple way possible.Make a pot of EXTREMELY strong
coffee and drink it. I dont know if its the heat or the caffeine in
the coffee, but it works quite well.
thanks,

My 3 children have asthma and I find that a hot mist works well. When an inhaler
or nebulizer is not handy, run a hot shower for about 3-4min.Close all doors
to let the steam build up.Then walk the child in the room with the steam and
let him/her take deep breathes until steam has dissapated. The steam will help
open the lungs.Works great!

Ingredients: pure eucalyptus oil
I have a granddaughter thats been diagosed
with asthma
and was using breathing treatments twice a day.She started using this oil
and in two weeks her dauhgter did'nt need to use her breathing
treatments anymore. I learned about eucalyptus oil in alternative medicine.
I
looked it up on the internet and found its cures are endless. The main
way to use this oil for colds and respitory problems is to put it on a
piece of cotton material (hanky) and lay it by the bed to inhale while
sleeping. My daughter uses a paper towel. It can also be put on the
person to ward off diseases. It acts like a repellent. It can also be put in
hot water and used to vaperize.Or even put in your bath.It also helps
muscle aches and pains. To learn more look it up on the internet.

ingredients = 1 stick of Cinammon 2 tablespoons of Thyme 1 lime (halved) 3 Heads of Garlic 1/2 purple onion 1 tablespoon of honey 3 cups of water
instructions = Add 2 cups of water and all ingredients in a medium pot, except honey. Bring to a boil and add 1 cup of cold water. Continue to boil until the mix reduces to half. Strain and drink as tea, hot or warm and sweeten with honey. You may also add honey to taste, and serve as medicine 1 tablespoon every 3 hours, preferably as close to bedtime as possible. For best results, drink as a warm tea for soothing during excessive coughing. I have a 4 year old, and she prefers to take it as a medecine in tablespoons. This works great alternative in between her Albuterol dosage.
