My family came from Mexico. My mother grew up in Guadalajara Jal. She was born in 1948. My mother lived with her parents. She had six brothers and three sisters. She is the second daughter. My mother had to help her mother take care of her brothers and clean the house. She coudn't finish school. When my mother was littler girl liked to dance and sing. She wanted to become a star.

My father was born in Mexico in 1946. He grew up in a small village. His house did'nt have electricity or telephone. He went to school for four years.My granfather died when he was six years old. He had two sisters and seven brothers . My father went to Guadalajara with his brother. He lived there. My mother met my father when she played with my father's niece in his house. They got merried when my mother was 14 yeas old and my father was 17 years old. They had eight sons five boys and two daugters and myself.

My father with my two brothers arrived in California in 1985. And then in 1988 my mother my three little brothers and I arrived here. We ceme to California because we wanted to have the opportunity to progress. In Mexico the opportunity's very scarce.

My husband grew up in Mexico. He was born in 1961. He finished school. He came to the U.S. with two friends. They wanted to know some new places.

I am Maria Carmen Gudino. I'm from Mexico I was born in 1971 and grew up in Guadalagara Jal. I went to school in my city. I was working in a hotel here. There met my husband. We worked there too.

We got married in 1990. One year later our first son was born. His name is Cesar. In 1993 our son Ulises was born. In 1997 our baby Alexander the last one was born. Now my husband is 31 years old and I am 26 years old. I am happy and I love both my families.
