We see this as a three step process:
1) Use the Internet Pizza Home Page to have students create an online pizza. They will use their order to calculate the area of various sizes of pizza, determine the "better buy", cost per topping, etc. Students will have to use research skills to answer questions pertaining to the Pizza Home page.
2) Next there would be some local research. Using a set group of Pizza chains, students would research various sizes of pizzas at different chains to find out if there is a price different between chains and between different places in the USA.
3) This information will be gathered and placed online for comparisons.
Addtional activities could include: graphing comparisons and working with percentages from comparison information.
