Martin Luther King Day

I had hoped to get a lesson on Slavery up on my website before MLK day but it didn't happen. So I found an older lesson I made a couple of years ago that might be fun to try for intermediate level students. I made this interactive image located at   https://www.thinglink.com/scene/741005752105172994 . With this interactive image, you can take a tour of his childhood home, hear some music of the time, and watch part of his I have a dream video. You can also see come civil rights hot spots. In the second lesson, your students can dig deep into his I have a dream speech. This activity is located at https://goo.gl/forms/GpIwRuIKBxWd16qX2

If you want your students to take the assessment, be sure to copy the link and make it your own. Otherwise, I will be the one who sees their results and you will never know. Instructions for how to copy the Google Form is located here https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-duplicate-a-Google-Form

Finally there is a writing activity located here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XalFOLJTQ9vKK2gZEaQqMY_fDyn5ppEFDfTpZVA50Q8/copy?usp=sharing

This writing activity link will force you to make a copy for your class.

If you use these activities or like these activities, let me know. If you have ideas for changes also please let me know. Write e a comment!

Most of all I hope you enjoy using these with your students. I still plan on the new activity about slavery, it just won't be ready for MLK.
